Should I do it?

Ask your aunt if she would pay for the restoration? My guess is you are looking at $15-20 thousand dollars which may be a low estimate.

Just a couple things, those wheels if 17”, are widowmakers. Replacements would be in order. The Massey Ferguson logo is neat, but nowhere near as old as the express (Ford’s name for the F2-3). It is 6 years newer.

So much depends on the willingness and skills of the OP. Doing the work himself he could most likely make a useable driver for TJ's 15-20K, but most of the members here would not classify it as 'restored' after that process. Most of this will be more clear once the truck is extricated from it's current tomb.

A professional restoration in my area would cost a minimum of $100K, if you're lucky.

Found a friend's 39 and she carried me as uncle's spirit for 10 years

I would at least get it out and get someone to help you evaluate it. About 2 years ago I was willed a '73 C10 that had been in a barn for 20+ years that belonged to my uncle. Engine compartment full of shredded feed sacks, mice ate some wiring, had a huge rat and more shredded sacks in the interior. I pulled it out and got it running and brakes. But I can't keep them all. I sold it and roughly broke even. Would I do it again-absolutely! But that is me. If I was in your shoes I would at least want to get it out, look it over, and if it wasn't too far gone get it driving and stopping again. Unless it has water in the cylinders there is a shot at getting it unstuck. Do you have a covered place to put it and work on it?

Is there a study tree or anything close by you could use a winch and ****** block to lift the roof off the truck enough to pull it out without farther damage?

If you do elect to refurbish/restore the truck, make sure you have the title in your name before you start spending money on it.
