Shoebox Front Suspension Control Arms

How close to centered should the control arms be attached to the inner support shafts? I just realized that when I reinstalled them, they are off center about 1/8".

Or am I just overthinking this?

The inners should be OK
The outer ones are a different story.
They each serve a different function.
The upper one corrects camber by moving in and out on an eccentric.

The lower one adjusts caster by moving fore and aft.
You should be OK as the necessary wheel alignment will correct as required.

I was worried I'd have to redo a bunch of work!

Now I need to find or make one of those spiffy tools.
