Shocks and springs

I don't remember the name of the product I used but I have seen it mentioned on FB some other time. It is a plastic layer that goes between the leaves and acts like a lubricant. It works VERY well but I needed longer U bolts.

David, It acts like a wedge. There is a hole at the end of the wedge where grease is inserted. The handle is filled with grease and drives the grease into the spring when it is turned. It is an antique that was mostly used on Model T's. I think there is a more modern version that has a Zerk fitting to pump the grease into the spring. Or it could be old ones that were modified for a Zerk fitting.

Helps to jack up the frame to separate the leaves a bit and I had to take off the U shaped clips.
