I have seven original shocks that I am trying to disassemble so I determine if they are good or not... or rebuildable. Unbelieveably, I have managed to get all the valves out by heating/quenching them with my small MAP torch. Since, I have had them soaking in acetone and ATF, etc. However, 4 of the shocks are still frozen. How in the world can the shaft/propellers be sooo frozen? I have had large wrenches on them and hammered them relentlessly. When I look at illustrations, I just don't see what could put up such resistance. Please respond... Saltman
