Shock Ball Alignment

The pictures are of my early 30 coupe's right rear shock assembly. The assembly is a new replacement set purchased in January of 2003 from Bratton's (I am running a little behind on my work schedule).


My question: The shock balls do not seem to be aligned top to bottom. It looks like they are one ball off, and it is the same for both sides of the car. Is this OK?

I measure 3.050 or 3 1/16" from the back of the shock to the face of the square
shank.....what do you have?

My 30 Coupe looks like it has exactly the same alignment as you have indicated for the shock balls. I have original shocks and they work fine even though the balls on the shocks and the perches do not line up.

To me yours look normal.

Dudley, My shock measures just under 3 1/8 inches. Bill

Dick Thanks - I was expecting the shock link to be close to vertical. When I got the coupe, there were no shocks on it. Bill
