Shock Arm/Pitman Arm

I recently bought a set of shock arms on eBay and when I got the package, realized that the two front ones were not the same. One is S-shaped like I see in the catalogs, the other one is straight but angled. When you lay them next to each other, they have the exact same dimensions for length, ball size, offset, etc. but they do not look the same. Could one of them be a pitman arm? My truck is away for winter so I cannot go out and look at the pitman arm.

Thanks much.

A pitman arm should have a large square hole for a bolt and a ball at the other end, if I remember correctly. The shock arms will be tubular in some way and have holes for balls to be clamped down.
It sounds like one is a pitman arm.

Pictures of this shock arm change are in the J/S. I don't know the date off hand, but I do know the J/S is one book every Model A owner should have.

Thanks guys.

I was told I was not allowed to buy the Judging Standards so close to Christmas time, so I am assuming that Santa may be getting them for me!
