Shifter thread?

I bought a new shifter knob for my A today and the guy that makes them has adapters for different shift levers. I need to know the thread on the knob so he can give me the right adapter. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks

I bought a new shifter and am trying to replace my old one. How do you take out the original?

Blindback. Check out Vince Falter's site. He shows the tool you'll need and instructions.. It's #5 on the "data information" list at the top of the Model A forum. Go to transmissions. Don't forget to DUCK!!!. It's a nasty spring.
