shifter plate rivets

does anyone know how to use the 3 tube rivets and rectangle plates that are for attaching the shifter plate to the floor bourds?
thanx

I believe they first go through a rectangular washer. Then through the wood and through the steel bar under the floorboard where they are upset.

I have a couple of original floorboards with the rectangular plates still attached. The semi-tubular rivet (with a large brazier type head) is installed from the bottom which then goes through the rectangular metal piece and is rolled over with a tubular riveting tool. I learned a trick from Tom Wesenberg for installing tubular rivets - put a drop or two of oil on the end to be peened. The oil allows the tool/rivet to easily slide and makes a very nice rolled over peen.

I know it's not authentic, but I just used pan head sheet metal screws. Tension is easily adjusted, and they are hidden under the floor mat or carpet.
