Twisted Shifterz has a range of them. You specify the thread size when you order.

I had the same problem when I drove my 1985 Ford Escort, 4 speed manual transmission. 1st was up and to the left, fourth was down and to the right. To get into reverse, which was right and dowj, you had to press a button to release the gate to shift into it.

My AA has a gate release lever for reverse. Could a Model A transmission be modified to have this?

What is the size of the larger knob shown? (post 21)

About 2 1/8”. It’s a little larger than stock Model A. It reminds me of a 1970s muscle car knob. Hopefully, the shift pattern on the knob and the slightly larger size will remind me which car I’m in. The smaller knob is 1 7/8” if I recall correctly.
