I don't know about you, but the excitement never ends, that feeling after a long process of work and time, that first hit of the button your ear at attention waiting as she rotates around and then you realize she's running, purring...you had no idea you were tightly wound, thinking is it going to happen, and then it does your body relaxes you smile in disbelief that it's finally here. I'm speaking of my 47 59AB, Fordor.
Well thanks to all that may have answered my questions, heard my grumblings, questions that may not have seemed important to you personally, but to me very. It's the knowledge that this sight brings that gets us closer to the end game, and a great wealth of knowledge we learn thru our own process's and answers. To those that supplied parts when in need, some paid for, others donated with only postage being requested.
The only mishap was I didn't tighten the oil cannister lid enough, so yes a bit of a leak, but cleaned right up, yes all over my work, tightened and wallah!!
Ken CT, you rebuilt my carbuerator about a year ago, sounds fantastic, nice and strong, smooth, she idle'd beautifully. Before I took it apart it would start up, and sputter a bit, and after it warmed up wouldn't start again, and seemed to be too rich. Probably didn't help that someone made a float out of a chevy float.. err.....
Karl much appreciation for the over the phone advice....and help.
Walt Dupont, what is there to say, he's one of the best on building these ol' flatheads.
Brendan my cousin, who's wise compared to his years, comes thru everytime, his vast knowledge and love for the ol cars it's nice to be able to share the same love and interest with a family member.
