Setting timing on a '36.

Running a '36 in my '34 and have converted to the mallory dual point with the slotted mounting base holes.

Does anyone have a tried and true method for setting the timing on this motor?

The stock dist didn't have slotted holes, therefore, no way to turn the dist to advance/retard timing.

Now that my dist has this feature... I'd like to take advantage of it and get the best out of my engine.

Any ideas?

TIA
