Service manuals

I just purchased my first early Ford V8 a few weeks ago (1940 Standard Tudor) and I have noticed that there are several repair manuals out there. I purchased the chassis, engine, suspension manual but I don't think that manual covers body service such as glass and weatherstrip removal. I'm going to replace all of the weatherstrips and cat wiskers so what is the best source for information on taking the doors and interior apart? Thank you, Gil

I don't think there are any manuals that tell how to take 1940 doors and interior apart.
After you remove the window garnish moldings and door panels, it's pretty easy to proceed. Be sure to not force anything and do take plenty of written notes and photos for reassembly.

Be sure you can find vendors that have your parts BEFORE you take your interior all apart.
Companies like restorationspecialties.com are excellent.

Here's a good start re: door handle removal.
