What is the numbering sequence for Model A titles?

started with "1" and went to over 4,000,000 in 1931
the car's # is based on the engine #

Here is the list of serial numbers by month , http://mafca.com/data_eng_production.html It is noted in the Judging Standards that there may be a 3 month delay between the engine number being assigned and and it being installed on the assembly line (depending on where the assembly plant was located). Note that numbers began and ended with a 5 point star. There was three letter "A" preceding the number on the vehicle. If the number on the engine doesn't match the approximate production date of the vehicle be sure the DMV person doesn't change the year of the vehicle to match. It was common tin the past to change the engine and report the engine number change to DMV. Take a copy of the serial number table with you to the DMV. I am not sure of the history of your vehicle but the DMV may have added a plate to the door jam with their own assigned number.
