We just finished a busy week at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Ford Motor Company had our latest project the "new" 1931 Roadster Pickup on display in their booth. Spent hours talking about Model As, the hobby, and the fun with people from all over the world. What a great time and opportunity to create and interest in our hobby.

Front also looks high and muffler assy looks low. Otherwise very nice for being made from mostly repro parts. JMO

Did MARC and/or MAFCA finally join SEMA? As you know, SEMA originally stood for Speed Equipment Manufacturers Association.

I don't believe either MARC or MAFCA has joined, you know now that MAFFI has, personally I think both should, SEMA has over 6700 members, it isn't just for Hot Rods. We had excellant response from a number of Corporations that provide materials and supplies to those in the new car, car restoration and repair related businesses along with tire mfg's to your new Museum needs. If you want to contact co's in the automotive parts, service, equipment, tools, insurance and etc. this show is the one stop oppertunity, over one million square feet of auto related.

SEMA has educational seminars that cover all types of topics usefull to business owners and non-profits. They monitor all types of legislation that can help and some times harm our hobby and lobby against those that are harmfull.

All of us can belong to SEMA-SAN at no cost, thru monthly and some times more often a news letter will advise you of pending legislation. You and others like you are a voting block to be reckoned with. They also will provide your elected official email and phone number so you can express your feelings. You can not believe what some people in other states are trying to do with our hobby. Calif. now has over 10,000 SEMA-SAN members, if you have a vintage, hot rod and etc. car you need to belong. Go to SEMA-San.com for more info.

Regarding the reason the car sits high. I used 19" radial tires available from Coker, the front and rear springs are new reproductions and also cause the car to be higher, the rear is only an 8 leaf, I don't figure on loading the bed too much. I had to drop the exhaust system slightly to clear the additional cross member that was necessary for the transmission support. I will have a complete write up on the car in the January issue of Model A Times.

Hello John- Best regards to you with your efforts, though I, too, hope you get the ride height, muffler height and windshield angle fixed.
