I am working on a partial restoration or a 29 open pickup. A friend of my grandson thinks we should use SEM Rust Shield (gloss black) for the entire car including the frame and body. I'm not finding anyone who uses this product for finish paint. Is this paint suitable for total paint job?

I've used a lot of SEM products over the years.Mostly on snow removal equipment and dump bodies.As a finish paint it seems to turn into a matte finish after a short time.That's nice for snow equipment,the last thing you need is headlights and flashing warning lights reflecting back at you from glossy surfaces.I like the primers,but for finishes I would rather use any cheapo single stage urethane.You can actually buy the black single stage from Magnet paints cheaper than buying the SEM paint.
