:( selling the wrecker and need advice. I am not sure what to ask for it and I have not been able to find much out there like it. It is unrestored and needs work. I think it is a complete truck. I am not sure about the engine.

Anyone have any idea were I can start with this project?

First what is it? A Ford or what. Take pictures for us to see. Where are you? Did your father belong to a V-8 club local one?

It is a ford. Yes dad did belong to the early ford v8 club of america. I have talked to a few members about dads cars and trucks. I am in Oregon. I do not have any pic as of yet. I hope to have some soon.

Value will depend on originality and what rig is on it, a Holms would be worth more that some others

Ok silly Question....how do I tell what rig it has on it? I was wanting to get pic today but you know best layed plans of mice and men!

There was a small tag on the bed behind the cab on the passenger side. It says Ernest Holmse OO (?) on the OO part Chattanooga Tenn. I can not at this time read the serial or model #. The little plate is broken almost in half but still in place.

Holmes wreckers are still being built, possibly still in chattanooga,tn. Google "holmes". Great co to do business with, give them a call. I believe the TOWING MUSEUM is also in chattoonga, tn. They might be able to help you identify it also. Hope this helps.
