I can think of many uses for even the worse model A blocks and heads, really TOO many to list. I usually regret any model A part that I let get away. Just me, thats part of the model A disease that I've had since I was 9 years old.

I think it should be a law that every garage has to have a line shaft and stationary engine.

Yep, even a total junk Model A block can be used as an anvil.

Yeah, that's what some of my 'acquaintances' do with model a blocks..whether their good or not. Mine sets out in the elements...oiled up and FORD TOUGH !

The Good Old Days Garage in Birmingham use to have a partition wall of stacked model A blocks in the basement machine shop. Jim said that any of them could be rebuilt. The blocks must have been sand blasted and sprayed with cast blast because they looked like new cast iron.
