Sedan Delivery spare wheel hold down

[meric42]

I am trying to find a hold down bracket for the spare wheel on my '42 Sedan Delivery. I don't suppose anyone knows where I might find one of these or even have a photo of one?

I have never seen one so don't even know what they look like or what I should be looking for.

Here's a pic of the hold down bracket. You are fortunate that is was used from '40 through '47. Might not be so hard to find. If you are not already, watch eBay. One may show up. Dennis/Arkansas

Holy crap, I've never even seen a '42 Delivery in person. Can you post up some pics?

Here we go

Very cool. Thanks! How many did they make in '42? Had to be a handful.

The production was 1272 Sedan Delivery's for the '42 year as far as I am aware

Would be nice, but I have seen a few on the internet, on hot rodding sites and for sale (on eBay) as builders so surprisingly enough I think there are still a few in circulation. But I still need to find a hold-down bracket for my spare wheel

Still need help with a photo of an original '42 - '48 Sedan Delivery spare wheel hold down bracket.

Surely someone can post a photo of one of these for me
