sedan delivery body work question

I just picked up a 1946 sedan delivery and the floors (in front and under seat area) have been patched...poorly. Lots of rivets and bad welds. Also, where the body of the cargo area meets the floor...just behind the driver door...is not connected. Rusted or cut and poorly patched...I can't tell. Outside of inspecting another '46 delivery, is there any way I can find out how the original looked? Does someone sell patch panels for this area?

Thanks, Erik

Hi Erik,

I had the same problem with one of my '42 Sedan Delivery's and realised that the front 3/4 of the floor is the same as the passenger car from '42 - '48 so found a doner floor from a Fordor Sedan and used the piece from the hump over the rear end to the front, then I had to have the rear floor rebuilt from what was left.

Hopefully this helps?
