"Secret Radio"

Yes I Have A Secret Radio In My 40 Coupe With Under Seat Speakers And Like It Very Much. The Draw Back Is Finding A Place For The Hidden Antenna For Good Reception.
Won't a conventional car antenna work on the "SECRET RADIO" ? People tell me hidden antennas are not very effective. Jon L.

I have a secret audio unit in my '67 Galaxie. It's an old unit with no provision for ipod ect. It works very well, never a problem. also has a CD player i mounted in the trunk but it crapped out years ago. What i have in my '38 2door though is a new Pioneer sterio that i got at Best Buy, cost around $160.00. I mounted it under the front seat, just laid an antena under there too. I hooked up an xm radio to the Pioneer unit. The xm has it's own remote so i can change stations easily. I dont use the am/fm part of the Pioneer. Cant see a thing. I do really like the 8 track idea but dont think it would look too good in my '38.

Hi Bruno, where would you get this inverter to change to 6 volt ? Very interesting !! Moe
I got a 6 to 12 v converter from China. On EBay. Didn't cost more than about 20 dollars, and free postage..

It works nice with a cheap car stereo and speakers. I build a flat cabinet, incl radio, speaker, converter, and mounted it under dashboard.

I have a Secret Audio in my 40. It works very well, much better than the previous CAS radio I had in my 46. The hidden antenna I have in my trunk works "ok" on FM. An outside is better for good reception. I made a bracket that the controller mounts to with Velcroe and hooks on the radio speaker grill while traveling. I also glued a knob for the volume control as it was hard for my fat fingers to turn. Once I get the snow cleared from my walkway to the shop I will post a picture. I hate snow, maybe 4" last night. My wife is always bugging me to move to Austin where the youngest grandkids live. Today I might say yes.

I have a normal antenna mounted in rubber under the fiberglass running board of my 53 F100. It works great on FM, not so much on AM.

Here is what I did with my Secret Audio controller. It seems like someone told me they now have a different controller, but this is the same one they show on their website. Sorry the one picture is fuzzy, but you can see the knob.

I would like to introduce a brand new alternative to hidden radios. You can control my device via Bluetooth and no access will be necessary for operation. Plus you can still utilize the stock unit in working or non working condition, or with no radio at all. Take a look at my web sight for more info.

Also I would like to extend a promotional discount to all the readers / members of the Ford Barn family. Receive a 10% refund back after checkout on my sight until the end of May. Just check out then send me a message through the web sight with your name and mention Ford Barn discount.
Thank you, Matt McClurg
