Seats in a 48 Coupe

I am looking for suggestions and ideas for late model seats in a 48 Coupe. Being a coupe the ideal ones would also have to be from a 2 door vehicle so you can access the rear seat, but I have seen 4 door ones adapted.I want ones that are full power with as many creature comforts as possible.I really like the idea of a centre arm rest. The style of seat that I prefer is ones that are large and square, resembling the original bench seats. What would some of you that have done this already, suggest?

I just used some 85 Buick Reviera, bucket seats,in my 46coupe. I did way with all the power and electronics,on them. They are at the right height, and they fold forward,to gain access to the rear seat. I would imagine,as long as you do the measurements. There are alot of different seats, that can be used. Good Luck.

Measure a stock seat and then take those measurements to our local "Pick n Pull". You'll find a seat that fits and they will be inexpensive. Look at some of the smaller luxury cars as most have leather seats. A friend used the 3rd seat out of a Windstar van for his 40 pickup and it cost him $30 with excellent upholstery.

A friend gave me a seat from a mid 80's jeep commanche pickup. It fit my 46 perfectly. I just had to fabriacte some different mounts. The seat tips forward for access to the rear, but it has a small cut out for the manual shifter. It would work great in a car with a t 5 as the shifter is mounted farther rearward. I am no longer using it as I found a nice stock one instead.

I was told that the seat out of the S-10 pick up works well in these, havent tried it myself
