Seat springs

I have broken seat springs in my 55 sunliner and would like to use a 4 door seat for parts,I have never had a 55/6 seat apart and wondering if the springs are made similar. I have a extra 2 door seat but its in the car now to use while I am rebuilding the original seat.

take the seat to your upholster, he will have clips to repair the springs

I do my own upholstery and would rather replace the springs then repair,I pulled the one spring out through the backrest in two pieces so I know there is some spring damage. I just hope the 4 door seat is built similar to a 2 door seat so the springs will interchange.

I bookmarked them and might be contacting them after I get the seat apart,our supplier at work used to carry springs and related parts but I dont think they do anymore but will have to check.

You can also find springs on EBay. I think under zig zag springs or S springs.

I have found a 4 door seat cheap so i am going to get it and rip the covers off,I would like to have the springs before starting on the seat.
