Seat ID 55-57 T Bird?

I was using this as a temporary seat in my Ranch Wagon but I've since found a better donor and am going to sell it. But I would like to know what it came from before listing it. I was told it was from a 55-57 T Bird. It has no sliders. Its 54 inches at its widest and 24 inches from the very bottom to the highest part of the top. The bottom cushion is 20 inches deep and the top cushion is 18 inches from the bottom cushion to the top. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a '55 T-Bird seat pattern. Do you have a photo of the underside?

I'll have to go out and check the cushion measurements against the one I have.

Thanks for the photo showing the different years. Does look like a '55. I'll pull the wooden platform that the seat is bolted to and post some photos.

Sorry that took so long. That seat you have looks '55 Bird to me, but mine has all the power seat hardware underneath and has been bolted into the car for a few years now, so it's a 95% guess from here.

I got 52.5 inches for the overall width of the seat cushion and seat back.
A measurement of 21 inches front to back depth for the seat cushion.
Height of the seat-back cushion only, 19 inches.
If I include the 'legs' the seat-back stands up on the overall height is 25 inches.

Your fourth photo shows a U bracket on the underside of the front edge that appears to match the '55 seat I have. If it matters, nearly all '55 Birds had a power seat.

Thanks for the photos and measurements. Sounds like its a '55 without the mounting hardware.
