seat adjustment on 53 Ford Pickup

My seat adjustments seems to work OK however if a passenger is on board and I take off fast the passenger side racks back and forth like the seat is not latching correctly on that side. Is this repairable ? or do I need to find another mechanism ? Anyone experience this problem ? Suggestions and /or solutions are welcome.

You will have to determine why the detent is not engaging on the passenger side before any determination of what needs to be done to correct the problem.

The rod that goes across under the seat may be bent.
Easy to remove the seat to check and fix.

I think the detent is supposed to have a spring on it to pull it into place.
