Searching for online articles on Model A engine

Almost two years ago I found a really good article on slightly/mildly modifying the model A engine and saved it to my favorites. However the computer no longer works and I lost most of my Model A engine articles I had saved.

The article included tips such as GMC V6 valves and I believe stovebolt valves in the A engine. It included info on using buick or olds V8 valve guides if my memory serves me correctly. There was also mention of heads, cranks, and minor modifications that can be done to the engine...

I also lost a good article on how to modify the model A oil pump for a pressure system or something along those lines. It had a lot of good pictures and great step by step descriptions.

I know it is a long shot but hopefully someone knows what article I am talking about and scan send me to the correct website. I have been searching quite some time but search engines are about useless these days unless you are searching for a web store...

Thank you for your time,
Thomas

I don't believe it was in the SOSS but it was an online article. Not sure if it came out of a magazine or not but I think it was just a website based around model A engines. Might have been a club website, possibly...

I thought I might have found it through Charlie's link page on the SOSS but I went through all of them today and couldn't find it :/

Take your Computer to Best Buy, the Geek Squad their can reclaim what was on the Hard Drive. They will put it on Disc's that you can down load back into what You are using Now. Or any other computer Repair Shop.

I had that happened to me a couple of years ago, and they reclaimed my stuff. Now I store New things in this Computer and Burn Disks of things that are Important, I want to Keep. It cost me $60 in 2010

See you like Chevelle's, here are photos of My 68 El Camino 4X4 and 72 SS 396 Chevelle collecting Dust

Nice looking cars you have there, they sure are fun to mess with! Also thank you for the geek squad tip, it looks like that is my only option here... Once I find the two websites I will post it on here because it was some really good information.

I think I know the article you mean. Jim Brierley's tips on building a mild street engine

It used to be available on the FAST website http://www.hotforhotfours.com/ but that article and the rest of the tech stuff seems to have disappeared, which is a great shame.

Mr B is on here - hopefully he at least has kept a copy

That is the exact article I need, I knew someone on here would know which one I meant! Thank you so much and guess now I know why I couldn't find the article...

Once again Thank you!

Probably mine, originally published in the F.A.S.T. magazine. wwwhotforhotfours.com e-mail me at jimb4e4@gmail.com and I will send it to you. I also did one on building a hot flattie and am in the process of writing a book on building bangers, with a bunch of other stuff thrown in. Thanks Juggler!

Wouldn't mind a copy either - and I'll add my name to a list for the book!

Put me down for a copy of the book Mr B!

See you at Sammy's/Don's the weekend after next

Cheers

Jim provided me with the article I was looking for plus another very informative article!

John now that must be a very fine example of a Chevelle! The 68 and 72 are the best body styles in my book besides the 66!

Thanks to all who helped me get in touch with Jim,
Thomas
