Scored this script heater today...

Are these fairly common? I've never personally seen one with the "Ford" script embossed on the case.

I had to snap it up to use in my '39.

Looks like it was originally hammertoned gray, but someone painted the script half gloss black.

That heater is actually for a 48-50 Ford truck. It's the Fresh Aire model. The truck had a duct under the right fender, that air came in. The blower motor was under the fender, bolted to the side. THere's a flexible duct that connects from the side panel to the right side of the heater case. THere's 3 cables in a bracket on the dash that go to the top of the case. I have one in my 50 F-1 truck.

There was one at the front of a '46 school bus I rode as a kid. I was the last one off, so the driver and I would light up a smoke for the last five miles. ..B.

Cool. Looks like it's not ideal for my application. But I just couldn't pass it up.
