Have a possable lead on a rotating. Assembly. At a cheeper price than I have seen in the catalogs. Is the quality as high as clamed.This one was bought and not used..3 3/16 bore 4"stroke. Are they good,would ti be a upgrade. Should I keep the 4" mercury and add good quality pistons.Keep my old rods. Thanks Lyle
 
lyle i heard that they have trouble balancing the scat cranks,maybe they have fixed it by now i would use the merc crank & egge pistons:):)
 
I recently finished building 276 59A for friend, We used a Scat assembly 3 5/16 X 4 with Ross pistons. Great combination and would use another one like it in a heart beat.
 
I built a 276 for a gye this spring, I told him to hunt around for a 49-53 Merc crank. He couldn't wait, bought a 4in. Scat crank. Stock 8BA rods,EGGE pistons. I had the whole engine engine balanced as always. You cain't believe how far our of balance that crank was. My balance man had to drill alot of holes in it to get it in. Walt
