saved a pile

well, its not that warm out but ive been working on that pile. going to build myself a speedster. been gatherin parts from all over all winter. had to set cowl on today. I now relize how luck I am in that this cowl needs basically no work. its far from perfect but for what im going to do its just right. purchased a running chassis last fall from a rodder. things line up prity good. im still in search of the side panels if anyone close to me has a spare set don't have to be perfect oh yes and a set of plain painted stantions aswell. can get the repop stainless ones but id really like a set of originals that are painted

Both the standard and deluxe windshield stanchions are stainless on that car. I have never seen plain ones. The standards are taller than the deluxe.

no actually I am not. in Canada for 30-31 CANADAIN ONLY the roadster pickups used painted ones that were plain steel. chances of finding a set are nil I know

Very Very Cool!!! You will get twice the interested lookers at any show compared to the trailer queen points car.

Join the Speedster Social Group here at the Barn, we could use the friends :-) and are all Speedsters builders/owners.

Thks for the link !
The red giant 6 cyl speedster build in HAMB is absolutely nuts ! Each cyl has its own head

& the final showpiece is just crazy cool !
For those who hesitate getting into a project , this should ease the pain .

more progress. mounted up the original shocks and links, got a set of decent hood sides, mounted up the lights, next is brake rods then im ready to start building the boat tail

hope this works moveing right along first fire up carb maybe needs a bit of attention yet but prity happy with it for the first go

Seen on another forum.. "If it casts a shadow. Don't throw it away."
It may not be useable, but someone may just want to know what it looks like!

Nice project!
My bet is it started life as a Standard Phaeton; no cowl lights.
Can we get pictures of the front shock mounts, both upper and lower? They look interesting. Thanks!

R / Roger.

it was a 30 standard phaton yes. and sorry I guess I need to post an updated pic those shocks and mounts are gone they were extreamly rough home made things. welded right to the axle. ive cut and ground them off and put on some stock units
