Sandblasting with pressure washer

About 2 years ago I saw a show on Spike TV and the host ( I think his name was Stacy David) was sandblasting his frame with a pressure washer that siphoned sand and mixed the two for a dustless blast. Does anyone have any info on that?

I have an attachment to do that with my Power America washer. It is good for things like old bulldozers and cranes where you just want to get the loose stuff off.If I used one bag of sand in the blaster,to do the same job stripping with the power washer,I bet I would use five bags.It is not good for stripping to bare metal.I bet I have not used it in 15 years, and I think that was on a house my dad was painting.

Wet blasting is OK if all you have is a water pressure washer.

At least it keeps the dust and potential silicosis down.

Main problem is the metal rusts as soon as it dries and the wet sand packs into corners.

Do a panel, then blow dry it immediately with air or a heat gun.

You will get good results.
