Safe Hauling of a Model A

Since I have restored my 1930 Model A Coupe, I have not hauled it on a trailer. I am now more involved with antique auto tours, some which a a distance away.
I have a Class III Curt Trailer Hitch on my 1995 Ford F150 pickup, with V8 motor.
I do not have a trailer for hauling, and will probably rent one for now. Would be a dual axle trailer.
My question concerns if the Class III trailer hitch is adequate. The hitch has 6000# Weight Carrying Capacity. Considering the Coupe at around 2300# and the tailer around 1500#, total weight would be around 3800#. So, if I understand correctly, the Class III trailer hitch should be adequate??

As long as your hitch is a frame mounted type, you are with-in all of the weight limits and should be fine. I wouldn't trust a bumper mounted hitch with a Model A even though some of them are rated this high. Be sure you secure the wheels/axels and you should be good to go.
