S/W seat adjust spring location??

I don't remember how the seat adjust spring is supposed to go on my 31 S/W. There are 2 holes in the back of the seat base that might be for the spring?

Anyone have a picture of the assy installed

I hooks to the L Shaped bracket that is mounted to the floor (on the right side of your picture. The other end (on theleft side of your picture) mounts to the little hole in the seat frame. It does NOT mount to the "saw tooth" piece.

i have been looking in lots of books and cannot find a pic or assembly drawing showing how the seat adjustment is supposed to be. Can you help with a pic?

A picture is worth a 1000 words. Thanks for the reply's Looks like the spring is to pull the seat forward when the handle is pulled
