i have an s-10 conversion in my "A" . it came with the car . the rear end leaks really bad . who can i get info from on changing the seal ? i dont know who made the kit . thank you

Steve, seals have the name of the manufactor stamped on them, and the seal number some where, like C/R, Temkin or who ever made it, if you can get it out and get the number any bearing specilty business can look up the seal, you should shoud have a place near you, i know there is a bearing place in chico, good luck

Steve:

Do you have a vent in the rear end. If the rear end is not vented, pressure will force the grease out the seal when the rear end warms up.

yes it is vented ... thank you !

yes i can pull it & probably find one ez ... was more worried about upsetting the preload ................

You could always do the obvious and ask the local GM dealership. They can tell you where to find the diff. ID info, provide seals, brgs, etc.

yes , open drive shaft conversion . not gm . gm trans but "A" rear end ........

I believe speedway sells the kit to convert banjo to open drive. Something in my memory also wants to say kiwi connection or another australian company. Hope this helps.
