Ryan's Ipod Conversion

Question for Ryan or anybody else. I am thinking of using Ryan's adaptation instructions for mounting an Ipod on a 47 Ford. In his instructions he indicates 12 volt power. Has he already converted to 12 volts?? used a power inverter which was not mentioned?? or will the amp work on both 6 or 12 volts. I have 6 volt power on my car. Thanks for any help.

You could do what I described in this thread to play your iPod through your radio speaker: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66940&highlight=stereo It doesn't use the car battery at all but runs off of a 9 volt battery pack I made that lasts a year or two. Just plug the wire that I have plugged into my Diskman into your iPod. My description starts with Post # 9 on that thread.
