Rust on my Edsel frame rails

I'm doing a restoration on a '59 Edsel Corsair. This being an upstate NY car well of course it has some rust. Does not look like there is a source for NOS Edsel frame rails, or Mercury which is the same size. Can anyone have a source for decent frame rails? Recommendations appreciated.

Everything else is in pretty good shape. So I am looking for a donor car for left and right frames: Ford, Edsel, Mercury. Probably only need about 18" of each. I am also going to need the bushings for the leaf springs.

If you do cut off the rear section and weld on a section from another '57-59 Ford or Edsel, you need to be real real careful to make sure that the location of the rear spring perches are the proper distance from the front spring perches and that they are equal on both sides as well as the rear frame rail being square with the siderails. If the measurement is even a little bit off on one side you will never be able to achieve proper front end alignment.

Very good advice, thanks. Also have to think through the weight distribution when the original is cut out.

if you have a spring shop in town you can get the bushings there if not I'm sure one of the reproduction co's have something you should also think of the body mounts most likely gone if not you will most likely break the bolts removing the frame section as mentioned ck all measurements and if you do section the frame make sleeves for the ends to slide into plug weld and solid weld the seams good luck?'][3

Andrew I don't know what state that you are in. I'm in Mass. I bought a 59 Ford wagon that I'm using for parts to fix up my car . If you are nearby and have a sawzall, you can cut off the frame pieces including the rear springs that you need for very very cheap. If interested send me a PM for my email and phone number .
