I recently had water splashed all over the engine due to a water pump
issue. I had removed the leather sleeve from the pump so I could observe
the leak without interference. I left the sleeve off a little too long and the
water splashed and rusted. Not good. Most of the rust I was able to remove with some "elbow grease." However, down toward the bottom I
found a stubborn patch that wouldn't cooperate, so I took out my Dremel
tool and "kissed" the rust with my nylon abrasive brush and it worked like
"Gang Busters" as they said back in "the day." If you don't have this little
accessory brush, the P/N is 538. The other Dremel tools might knock off
some of the paint----this one won't. JMHO
