Running boards or shelving? ID question

My wife picked these up at a garage sale and wants me to turn them into shelves. However maybe someone out there has been looking for exactly this and wouldn't it be a shame to make shelves out of something that would add to someone's car project. I don't even know if they are Ford, but let me know if you have an idea of what they are and if they have any value.

Pokey, they do not appear to be Ford products, but I'm not familiar with all the models

The short length makes me think they are from a big truck but which one I don't know. Perhaps someone on the FTE site would know.

Those might be Shelverolet.

Thanks guys for the serious, and amusing responses. My wife really got a hoot out of Shelverolet. I'll have to check out the truck site you mention D. Jones. Even if they end up as shelving, there is the curiosity factor.

use them for shelves without modifying them, wait around for someone to discover, recognize them.
