Rumble Wood Tack Strip

Does somebody have the measurements for the Deck Side Cardboard Retainer Lower that goes in the rumble compartment? I went to install the rumble panels while I wait on some parts to come in the mail and I noticed that I am missing the wood strip that the panels tack to.

Also, if somebody has a good picture of the tack strip installed in the proper place, I would appreciate it.

I think the wood in John's photo "looks" to thick, it just could be the angle?
My original scrap is about 1/4" or a little less...too thick and it may bow the
card stock panel..

FYI.


The wood strip in my '29 coupe rumble measures 1/4 by 1 1/2 by 41 1/2.

This piece has been in the unrestored car since 1962 and is still painted the Ford Green of the rest of the inside body so it might be considered original.

My body is a 30-31 Brookville. This is a good thread. I may have to use a thinner piece.
