rumble seat hood gutter

Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution to an absent rumble seat hood gutter. This coupe had it sawed off. There is nothing to stop the hood from going into the trunk space and nothing to stop water dripping over the hood edges.

the 28-29 coupe trunk drip rail is bolted in place. with screws and nuts. the Cabriolet`s use the same one. unless they cut the 1/4 panel.

Most folks use the term deck lid whether it's trunk or rumble in nature but we get the term used. All the deck lid equipped cars use pretty much the same drip rail on top and sides. The trunk cars have a rear scupper panel and the rumble types have the curved lower panel to catch and drain the water that comes through the gaps of the deck lid.

A lot depends on what was cut out of there. Hopefully the lip and T extrusions are still intact on the quarter panels.
