Rumble Lid 30 coupe

Hi:
The bottom right tip of my rumble lid makes a little contact with the body when opening and closing. Is there an adjustment that can be reccommended?
Thanks

The rumble lid is a compromise fit at best. Look at the other 3 corners and see if there is a large gap that would allow adjustment to fix your contact area. If so, the adjustment is in the pivot bolt of the hinge. It is a very coarse adjustment, so it may be difficult to get it exactly where you want it. If the car came with the rumble, there should be a wedge spacer at each top corner of the opening, to center the lid when it closes.

If you have repro parts the problem could be a combination of issues.
The original lid is curved up at the ends and the original lower panel is curved down. The repro parts are both kind of straight. It is very common to see a repro lower rear panel with the paint chipped off at the top corners due to the tighter gap. The give away for a repro lower panel is the lack of a hole for the spare tire mount.

If it is the repro part problem the fix is not easy. On my car I was aware of it and could move the lower rear panel down a bit while I was reconstructing.

Some more details are on my webpage:
