All I can say is thanks for the positive comments! This is a hobby full of excellent people!

Michael,
Thanks for taking on this venture. I know you will do a fine job. You are certainly an asset to the Ford V8 Club.

That's what Ford designated as its S-2 finish, namely black oxide with an oil coating. The cadmium plating fasteners that Roy offered were plated with so-called white cadmium, the same as Ford used during the period. It was used originally for intake manifold and water pump bolts and washers, body to frame fasteners, glove box fasteners, etc.

Years ago I black oxide parts for the welding machines I manufactured.
You boil walnut shells in water for a long time, then boil the parts until
they get good and black, rinse and soak in oil. It may have been linseed
oil. G,M,

Michael maybe one of the new items will be the fan hub bolts I talked to you and Roy about? I found a set but I could use spares!

JB, those things are a extremely odd ball 12-32 hex bolt and not a common size at all. I will likely have a small batch of them run this winter (I actually need a set myself)

Congrats Micheal on you future plans,, I for one of the many Ford die hards down here in Aussie look forward to many future purchases from you..

As most of you know, Roy's business has been closed down. His hardware business has been around since 1975 when he and two other partners (one is a Fordbarn member) started Dearborn Hi-Point Specialties. That later became Roy Nacewicz Enterprises.

Aside from losing one of my closest friends, Like others; I hated to see a business that has been such a great resource to us for over 40 years come to a sudden end.

The family gave me the opportunity to purchase his business. I took the financial stretch and decided to go for it. While the business will not be the same as it lost it's largest asset, we will try and make Roy proud.

We are hitting road blocks, like finding a close by affordable Cadmium plater, and some other sources issues we will have to work through.

We will reopen his business hopefully sometime the end of October... is the tentative plan. As time gets closer I will post the actual date.. PLEASE NOTE!! We will NOT take ANY orders or lists prior to the reopen date!

Also understand, that as time moves on some pricing changes will happen both in terms of increases and decreases.. Also on that note some items may be discontinued when sold out, and several NEW products will be added that Roy and I were working on prior to his death..

The business will for the time being operate under our current business Third Gen Automotive..

I didn't hear about Roy. What happened to Roy?
