Rough Idle?
This is how I solved my rough idle.
1- Spark control arm was not at full stop in either direction, adjusted .
2- Vacume leak at the exhaust manifold, changed gasket.
3- Rebuilt carb, jets were re-sized to factory specs. Jet sizes were not even close to specs upon examination. Soldered closed and
re-drilled.
5- Of course, tune up
6- Idle air mixture about 1.5 off the seat
7- Choke 1 full turn at start up, 1/4 open after warm up
8- Points set to 0.22 (Tip from one of our A parts suppliers)
* Result: Steady curb side idle at 450 rpm
So far so good, hope she stays like that.
