Roof sealant

Am ready to put the vinyl on my 31 S/W sedan. The instructions with the LB kit call for using a sealant under the edge of the material. Does anyone have any recomended products for this use? Thanks.
 
I use black seam sealer in a calking gun tube. Autobody supply shops have it, And NAPA probable does. The brand I use is Sikaflex.
 
The product you want is called "Drip Check" it comes in grey or black. You will have to prime it and then paint it.
 
I used Lexel from Ace Hardware. Before I put the final set to the tacks I pried up the covering and squirted some between each tack. I then massaged the area and set the tacks. Clean up with mineral spirits. Sets in about 30 minutes but full cure is longer. I don't see where priming and painting enters into this sealing process.
