Roof Panel Insert

My 1931 Tudoor has a medal roof panel insert that was installed before I bought the car. Some of my roof bows have cracks and the wood piece that runs the lenght of the roof on the passenger side of the car is deteriated. Should I replace the bad wood? Jerry

Yes, I would replace the wood. Not replacing it will continue to develop other problems, sagging headliner or panels, even a little bit structural since those pieces do run the length of the body.

If you have noticed that it needs to be replaced, replace it.
