Roof iron restoration

Getting ready to send out a set of 33 Cabriolet roof irons for chrome.
I'm looking for information on how to rivet them back together.
Is there anyone selling rivet kits?

I am unaware of any rivet kits being available. Our experience has been that they have to be custom made of stainless steel, especially given the variety of shapes and lengths required.

If you are stripping them down into pieces for chroming, make sure you take LOTS of detailed pictures of each joint before you strip them. A picture from every angle is worth a thousand words when you come to put them back together. As David rightly says, not every joint has the same length of rivets, some joints will have a washer in them, others may have a fat spacer.

Some chrome platers, including QualKrom in Erie, PA, will disassemble, plate and rerivet top irons.
