Rock Moss Green

"Homer," the truck in my avatar, is Rock Moss Green. If you decide to use this color, expect it to be very dark green. There was no Ford "Rock Moss Green Light," even though some trucks end up that color. That is always too bad -- sort of like an MGB painted British Racing Chartreuse.

I painted a 30 CCPU blue rock green 20 yrs ago ,long gone now. It had a very pleasant bluish cast and not so dark as rock moss. Be advised that paint technology has rolled over 3 or 4 times since then. Paint codes seem to loose their relevancy as the paint chemistry IMPROVES ? I loved the color and it was always a little unusual even though it is also a listed color for 1930 commercial.

Larry I would be interested in seeing a picture of your picture.
CC..

I have taken 3 pictures of it. They turned out well. A little "bright."

I will have to wait until my smart Son comes down for Christmas to help me load the pictures and attach them to a future post. Pops isn't that smart..

Or is it that old farts lose their memory? ;)

Thanks, Gary.. That's what I'm starting to think. Do you have a source for Blue Rock Green?

There's that "Purdy thirty again!." Beautiful CCPU.

Larry
No but its in the Model A Ford Paint and Finish Guide Sure it can be matched by any Good Auto Paint supplier.
