roadster doors 28-29

Can anyone tell me the difference in the roadster door from 28 and 29 I have one door that has holes for handle and the other does not did they do things differently in 29 and 28? and should I fill the holes in one or drill holes in the other?

The door without provisions for an outside handle was used on Roadsters and Phaetons until November 1928, and on Open Cab pickups from the beginning until June 1930 (yes, 1930).

And to answer the OP on the second part of his question....

If your car is before nov 28, fill the holes, if your car is after nov 28, drill some and if your car is exactly nov 28, toss a coin.
