Ring Gear

I took everyone's advice. Put the flywheel on a sturdy surface and heated it with my propane torch. (The gear not the flywheel) A few good whacks with the chisel and off it came. I'll let you know how the new one goes on.:)

I thought I saw a post where the ring gear was heated on a barbecue grill to 400 degrees for a period of time and then installed. Is this a viable way? If not I do have a friend with a torch.
