Rim Flaps

I recently ordered some rim flaps from coker tire to use on my 1935 ford rims. the problem is the flaps are way to wide for these narrow rims, they also fit pretty sloppy (loose) so i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these on these early rims? when i called coker thay said these are the only ones they make, i also asked if they can be narrowed., and i pretty much got the same answer as if i had asked a tree stump what to do.
