This 1957 Ford Thunderbird was restored about fifteen years ago. Today, it is an extremely clean car inside and out. It has always been well maintained, both cosmetically and mechanically. Upon close inspection, this appears to have always been a good car. The frame, subrails, body mounts, rockers, sills, floor pans and quarter panels show no signs of damage or repair. On the outside, the body lines are extremely crisp and the outer body panels are straight and true. The doors fit the body with even gaps and margins. The light blue paint remains in excellent condition showing only the most minimal amounts of wear. The chrome and stainless is excellent and all of the glass is nice and clear. The interior appears nearly new and shows hardly any wear including the seats, door panels, carpets and headliner. The dashboard is excellent and all of the gauges are clean and clear. The engine bay is extremely clean and presentable. The original VIN tag is present on the firewall. The trunk has its proper spare tire and is also nice and clean. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great. The engine is quiet and smooth. It starts easily, idles well, does not overheat or smoke. The transmission is smooth. The steering is tight and the brakes stop the car straight. With the exception of the radio, all of the lights, etc operate as they should. In the last couple of years, the car has received a rebuilt power steering assembly, a rebuilt starter and generator, new exhaust, new door and window moldings, new thermostat, etc. The car has always been serviced on a regular basis and driven frequently. The mileage shown is about 8,600 which are likely to be the miles accumulated since the restoration was completed. This Thunderbird looks right from all angles. It is ready to be used and enjoyed.
