Several have wanted pics of my '53 F350 which I sold maybe 12 years ago or so. I'll bet it still looks like this today.
The '41 Mercury I bought this past October. Haven't bothered to take any better pics, this is the day I put new tires on it right after purchase.

Incredible the low mileage on that truck! Was it part of a fire dept? I had it's brother, a '53 F350 9' flareside. It was a birthday present to myself when I turned 53. I was born in '53 and this F350 was 3500.00 (plus 900.00 to ship from Minot ND.) I do know from subscribing to 'Vintage Truck' for 30 years that the heavy, long bed pickups have a big and serious following in the Northeast corner of the US. In the West, the half-ton is what restorers and rodders want. I have never been drawn to 1/2 ton pickups other than the one I cut up for my woodie project.

RG # 9 had a past member with a restored '53F350. He even showed occasionally- now lost in the Salem, Or area, it was red. Newc

Thanks for the pics of the Merc. I passed on a 1941 Mercury like yours but it was two-tone maroon on top with black fenders. I didn’t want to deal with the iffy paperwork.

It was a farm truck that belonged to a friend in Maryland. It surprises me that there is a following for these trucks! And by the way, I remember when these trucks were brand new. I was born in 1940.

Pete, Thanks for blowing up the pictures, not only mine. Seeing more detail is great.

Yes, I too really appreciate Pete enlarging so many of the pictures for "The Masses" We should all give him a pat on the back for this great service.

Thanks big time, Pete.
